This energy-efficient project for ten apartments explores the possibilities of using timber in new high-standard housing developments in the Geneva region.

Except for the underground garage and the two raw concrete communication nuclei, the entire above-ground construction is built in timber (structure, façades, windows, internal partitions).

Different typologies have been developed by following the principles of modularity and rationality, in order to maximise the prefabrication of construction elements.

Transversal living spaces have been designed and adapted to accommodate different sizes of flats (two, three, and four bedrooms). Thus, each unit features its own double-oriented open living space, which includes kitchen, dining, and lounge functions.

Generous exterior spaces (loggias, terrasses, gardens) serve as extensions of each appartement, and function as buffer zones for climate and privacy control.

Integration of indigenous vegetation, natural light and prevailing winds into the design process enhances the building's harmony with its environment.
